The City That Never Sleeps

Many of us that vacation on the eastern shore are familiar with 'sleepy' beach towns that dwindle down to only a few full-time residents and one operational grocery store in the fall/winter months. Lewes is not one of those towns.

From the live music at Jerry's Seafood to the always-bustling Tanger outlets to the Historic Lewes Farmer's Market that runs straight through to November; this bay-side community doesn't take any days off and seems almost impervious to the creeping in of the fall season.

The Lewes House Rooftop Deck

While other beach town rentals seem bleak in the fall, Lewes continues to have a busy calendar throughout the entire year, making it the ideal vacation spot. With The Lewes House as your home base, you are bound to enjoy relaxation and adventure all in one trip. The roof top deck is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with your friends and playing cornhole as the sun sets. Or, you can take our bikes over to Irish Eyes for harbor-side dining and excellent cocktails. Even in the off-season, Lewes Beach is alive with visitors that want to enjoy the milder weather with a good book.

The gray weather of fall and inevitable transition into winter and chillier temperatures can be overwhelming, so consider coming to visit us and taking a weekend to enjoy Lewes, DE and all our town has to offer. We have a lot more going on than you think!
